Pittini Jumbo coil combines the advantages resulting from compact precision coiling to homogeneous mechanical characteristics which allow to obtain stirrups and shaped reinforcements with constant and reliable geometry.
Jumbo HD coils are produced in the Group’s plants from high ductile steel, meeting the specifications according to international standards for applications in seismic zones.
Therefore, Jumbo coils are supplied in an ultra-compact packaging with diameters ranging from 8 to 25 mm and a weight of 2.5 tons and 5.0 tons. These no twisting coils consistently keep their mechanical characteristics along the wire.
The reduced ovality prevents slipping of one wire over another during multiwire advance motion, thus eliminating the variation of dimensions in medium and large sized stirrups.
Other advantages:
- reduced waste during “cut to length” and shaping process;
- reduction of space requirement during transport and storage (maximum coil height 90 cm).
